And I can die a happy fan... I've heard him say my name. *sigh*

Tho I would have to gently argue with RA that IMO book and movie, Thorin doesn't need "redeeming". But that's a whole thread or essay. LOL wish I could have a glass of wine with him and debate. What a graceful and direct answer to the (I thought) rather appalling question of who his favorite was to work with. And I thought the tidbit about becoming focused on Bilbo is interesting, in a dark way - does it fester into a love/hate kind of thing, depending on someone (like a a king might with his "fool", not implying that Bilbo is that or plays that role) but hating/suspicious of them. My heart is breaking for Thorin already, and Bilbo.

He must get tired of sitting in that chair! LOL! But seriously (butt seriously?), I love listening to his voice. The fact that he also has intelligent and interesting things to say makes his interviews such a pleasure.

Answering the same questions over and over. Every once in a while an interviewer can surprise with an original question, but most of the time they seem rather samey.
"It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule." Gandalf, "The Last Debate."
