Leonard Nimoy's doing the end credit music for TABA, so it seemed a logical choice (if you'll excuse the pun), for the naming convention today. Inferno.

" 'Fair lady Goldberry!' said Frodo at last, feeling his heart move with a joy that he did not understand. He stood as he had at times stood enchanted by fair elven-voices; but the spell that was now laid upon him was different: less keen and lofty was the delight, but deeper and nearer to mortal heart; marvellous and yet not strange." Chapter VII: In the House of Tom Bombadil; FOTR's Faerie contains many things besides elves and fays and besides dwarfs, witches, trolls, giants or dragons; it holds the seas, the sun, the moon, the sky; and the earth, and all things that are one in it: tree and bird, water and stone, wine and bread, and ourselves, mortal men, when we are enchanted." — J.R.R. Tolkien

And might I say how well that haircut suits you, brother?
Have an idea relating to the world of JRR Tolkien that you would like to write about? If so, the Third TORn Amateur Symposium will be running in the Reading Room April, 2014. *The Call for Submissions is up*! **And Rem, you are doing that CoH chapter. Don't forget. **

Great book. Recommended.
****************************************** The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

I'd heard that there were those who misunderstood the title, and thought Nimoy was antagonistic towards his iconic character. When just the opposite was true. Loved the "conversations" between Nimoy and Spock.

Oh man, I do love a good "not a...." quote. My favorite is still "I'm a doctor, not an escalator!"
Silverlode "Dark is the water of Kheled-zâram, and cold are the springs of Kibil-nâla, and fair were the many-pillared halls of Khazad-dűm in Elder Days before the fall of mighty kings beneath the stone."

Clearly the space-time continuum has been recklessly warped again but by what senseless daredevil? Wait, are Radagast's sleigh bunnies on holiday again? I knew those bird droppings leading to the Bridge meant something ....

It took me several moments to realize that you meant that because you're Uhura, not because of an unfortunate incident with the pointy end of a sword!
