A Question about The Hobbit 70th Anniversary Edition Can't Post

Hello,
I recently received a copy of the 70th Annivversary Edition of The Hobbit, published by Harper Collins and on the cover the blue for the mountains is very dark, almost black. I was just checking is this normal for this edition (to keep with the mat look of the cover) or is there something wrong with my copy.
