Has anyone read any of Charles Williams books? Can't Post

He was another influential Inkling who wrote in the fantasy/religious/mystery vein.

War in Heaven
The Place of the Lion
Descent into Hell
The Greater Trumps
All Hallows' Eve
Many Dimensions
Shadows of Ecstasy
Paths of Darkness

I have not, but I know how important he was to both Lewis and Tolkien.

Yes [In reply to] Can't Post

They are dense and difficult to wade through. Could never get close to them.

War in Heaven
Seems to be a murder mystery.

The Place of the Lion

Which got Lewis, Tolkien etc. interested.

I second that opinion of them. One try was enough. Not at all satisfying to me. // [In reply to] Can't Post

Loved War in Heaven. [In reply to] Can't Post

Think Indiana Jones and The DaVinci Code.
