That is so true, I wish there was more about her too. This really is a most fascinating exchange. They are a most spirited couple. I doubt if many could hold their own being married to Feanor, but she pulls it off!

I discovered while reading the Hobbit to get in the mood to see DOS a couple weeks ago... "The wood elves lingered in the twilight of our Sun and Moon, but loved best the stars; and they wandered in the great forests that grew tall in lands that are now lost. They dwelt most often by the edges of the woods, from which they could escape at times to hunt, or to ride and run over open lands by moonlight or starlight; and after the coming of Men they took ever more and more to the gloaming and dusk. Still elves they were and remain, and that is Good People." It's easy to forget that Tolkien could write some gorgeous prose.
"There are no safe paths in this part of the world. Remember you are over the Edge of the Wild, and in for all sorts of fun wherever you go."

Have an idea relating to the world of JRR Tolkien that you would like to write about? If so, the Third TORn Amateur Symposium will be running in the Reading Room in March, 2014. We hope to see you there!

Love this: He was tall as a young tree, lithe, immensely strong, able swiftly to draw a great war-bow and shoot down a Nazgūl, endowed with the tremendous vitality of Elvish bodies, so hard and resistant to hurt that he went only in light shoes over rock or through snow, the most tireless of all the Fellowship. ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Book of Lost Tales, Part Two
