When catching up with the news this morning, this article of course caught my eye! And with a bit of poking around, I've found the original article here. I just love that reputable researchers have done this. I'm particularly intrigued by the translations into Elvish and Dwarvish! I can't get the translations up as my connection is too slow, but I'm sure they're fun to read. So, Daniel -- did you have anything to do with this?

See his post here. And the author consistently uses the incorrect "Middle Earth" rather than "Middle-earth". Thanks, Roheryn.

Alas, this has nothing to do with me. But I have thought about doing it with the model I use. You can't do it without a topography and land use dataset, so I'd be interested in finding out how they created them. I still insist that the Grey Havens is a rubbish place for a harbour, regardless of their results.
