What if Gollum never lost the One Ring or took it back earlier than in the book? Can't Post

I always asked myself what would have happened to Gollum if he never lost the Ring to Bilbo? And what would have happened if he took it back earlier before falling into Mount Doom?

When Frodo got the Ring Sauron finally returned to Middle-earth he and his servants were able to sense the presence of the Ring when it was used right? So during the time of The Hobbit the use of the Ring wasn't that dangerous except for the fact that all bearers Isildur, Sméagol and Bilbo became addicted to it But when Frodo became the ring bearer Saurons power was returning and the use of the Ring was very, very dangerous. Quote Gandalf: "
Never put it on, for then the agents of the Dark Lord will be drawn to its power". So let's play the famous "What if"-Game.

Scenario one: Gollum never lost the Ring to Bilbo and the Company still managed to defeat Smaug even without the Ring.
If I'm correct at one point when Gollum used the Ring to kill another Goblin... Sauron and his servants would have felt it right? So they just had to enter Gollums cave, kill him and took the Ring back. Or would the Ring itself try to bring Gollum out of his cave to be an easier target for Saurons agents? After all the Ring controlled Gollums mind in a way so he might be able to give him a reason to leave the mountains? The same way Gollum went to Mordor by his own even without the Ring.

Scenario two: Everything happened excatly like it did in TH, FOTR and TTT but this time Gollum is able to take the Ring back from Frodo. If he does it with the help of Shelob or earlier doesn't matter.

After the Rings power grows and grows with Saurons rise Gollum couldn't resist to use the Ring at least once... so Sauron and the Nazgûl would propably know his presence right? Or would Gollum be able to resist? Well he knew that Sauron was searching for it and he didn't want to let Sauron get it back. But I don't think that Gollum could stand against the Rings power... this little thing wants to return to his master and if it had to kill Gollum for it... in the end Gollum/Sméagol was just a victim of the Ring.

So either way... Sauron would have been able to reclaim his precious Ring... luckily Bilbo found it.

"There is only one Lord of the Ring, only one who can bend it to his will. And he does not share power."
