Sorry to keep replying to myself, but the page I linked to earlier makes the legitimate point that most home computers can't really give you 48fps simply because most monitors redraw at either 60 or 75hz, and those numbers are not multiples of 48. So they'd either need to change the way the hardware works or use software tricks to convert 48fps to 60.

48 fps trailer [In reply to] Can't Post

I was able to see the 48 fps trailer, though slowly because my computer struggled a bit! It's almost too clear, though still good. In the one scene I could see Legolas' makeup a bit too clear. Water looks crazy real, like I could stick my hand in it though the screen! I think I do still prefer 24 fps though.
