A really cool story about the makers of LOTR's One Ring Can't Post

Did you know that Hans Jensen could have become an Australian citizen instead of a Kiwi? When his parents were immigrating from Scandinavia they considered getting off the boat in Oz, but the snakes and spiders prompted them to continue on to New Zealand. Laugh

Son carries on legacy of precious One Ring

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauronís master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

An eye for talent [In reply to] Can't Post

What a cool story, thanks Ataahua. As gruff and not enthusiastic as Jens was the producers realized his talent, which is a story in itself. (It seems a good choice to keep going once you've heard of a funnel web spider. Laugh)

That huge Ring is really something. Best of luck to Halfdan!

The second TORn Amateur Symposium is running right now, in the Reading Room. Come have a look and maybe stay to chat!
