Has anyone read the Empire Magazine for this month? Can't Post

I was wondering if there were interesting details on the next film in it, and whether or not it might be worth getting because of that?

A few months ago they had a really good issue but this issue doesn't seem to have caused much of a stir.

waiting in U.S. [In reply to] Can't Post

well, for one thing, I was told by Barnes and Noble they wouldn't have the collector additions until last week of November (as it's a UK pub).....but the F*** magazine articles w. Pace and Armitage were excellent.

No they haven't reached our shores yet [In reply to] Can't Post

I can't wait for that issue!! I haven't decided which cover I'll covet yet (ha ha..I think either Thorin or Bilbo). I expect it won't be in our Barnes & Noble until maybe the end of this month. sigh. And maybe longer for us out here in the middle of the Pacific. Frown

pretty well "spoiled" orcs chasing dwarves in barrels - and I am speculating (or hoping) that the pursuing orcs run headlong into elves who are none too thrilled to see these nasty creatures in their forest -
I'm looking forward to seeing Azog annoyed. Again.

My copy should arrive shortly... [In reply to] Can't Post

since we don't seem to get Empire magazine in Canada (or at least not in my neck of the woods), so I had to order mine on eBay. I opted for the Thorin cover (naturally) and I also noticed that eBay had last year's as well (though I may order that one at a later time). I also got an email notifying me that the Visual Companion for DoS (that I pre-ordered from my bookstore kiosk along with the Extended Edition of AUJ) is now on its way. Perhaps they just ran out of copies instead of being delayed like they have been in the States.Smile

Far over the Misty Mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away, ere break of day
To find our long-forgotten gold.
