EE running times ?

EE running times ? Can't Post

I'm, really confused. The hobbit blu-ray extended edition says the film has a running time of 182 minutes but the dvd version says 175 mins ?
Is this right ?

If you are in Europe then that is likely 100% normal.

Some regions that used a PAL video system have a 4% speed up on things like DVDs (and VHS). So everything is 4% faster (audio was generally pitch corrected so you wouldn't really notice)

BluRay is a lot more universal and does not suffer from this.

Yes that exactly that. The content is 100% the same, the DVD just is running a tad quicker. The BluRay is the 'Real' length. As it's played at more or less the same speed as the original feature. But ultimately your not missing anything.
