"White Cloud World" fantasy art exhibition opens in Eastbourne, Wellington Nov 6

White Cloud Worlds is an award winning series of art books that showcase stunning science fiction and fantasy artwork from New Zealand, 'The Land of the Long White Cloud'. Many of the artists represented in the books have contributed to LOTR and The Hobbit films.
These visually rich publications explore the worlds created by 50 artists whose work has been featured by acclaimed companies such as; Weta Workshop, Valve, Blizzard Entertainment, Wizards of the Coast, Dark Horse Comics, Paizo Publishing, Fantasy Flight Games, Gnomon Workshop and Spectrum Fantastic Art.
The Rona Gallery of Eastbourne, across the bay from Wellington, will be opening the exhibition of these fascinating New Zealand artists on Wed. Nov. 6 starting 7:00 pm. Reservations are required as space is limited and they are filling up fast. You can obtain an invitation by ringing the gallery at 04 562 8062 or emailing them at info@art-gallery-newzealand.com.
If you're going to be in Wellington for the Hobbit live event at the Embassy Cinema the day before, why not extend the joy! Theeeen (drum roll!) there are three more exhibition-related events with Weta artists scheduled at the gallery Nov. 10, 17, and 24. Selected artwork will be for sale.
