Beorns gate Can't Post

In the trailer, we see a shot of the company running towards a gate outside somewhere. I think this could be the outside of Beorns house.

Thoughts?

Yep absolutely. [In reply to] Can't Post

No doubt it Beorn's place I think. And while we're talking about that shot, I just want to say how beautiful it is. The sun on the left as the company runs in is majestic!

It's quite [In reply to] Can't Post

del Toro-esque actually in a Pan's Labyrinth kind of way.

Already something about the lighting/colouring is better than in AUJ imo. It's feeling a lot more "real" as opposed to just a bright, plastic CGI world.

That of course could be something todo with [In reply to] Can't Post

the fact that it is a real set, built on location...Smile

I have a feeling the hedge is CGI [In reply to] Can't Post

And that Beorn's house is only real. Set reports have only ever shown the house. I could be wrong. Looks great, regardless. Smile

Looks to be a combination [In reply to] Can't Post

going by these screen shots from the DOS preview. A portion was filmed on location and a set built. But in this particular shot i'd say much of it is CG.

Indeed! [In reply to] Can't Post

I got to admit this is for me the most beautiful shot in a trailer full of beautiful and exiting shots. The lighting, the natural and yet magical quality of the scenery. I can't put my fingers fully on it, but it just captures the atmosphere of the book to a T, just perfect!

Thanks Bomby!
Yes, there are 4 bear statues:

I love the details Smile

- Good morning.
- What do you mean? Do you mean to wish me a good morning, or do you mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not? Or perhaps you mean to say that you feel good on this particular morning...or are you simply stating that this is a morning to be good on?

- Good evening.
- Yes, yes it is. Though I think it might rain later.

Yes, it's a combination, [In reply to] Can't Post

but a section of hedge was built on the site in Glenorchy:
