it contains the reflected light of a silmaril. i do not want it for the sake of it being that, but because that light is a healing light, a light that gives strength and peace. i would love to be the bearer of that light, and use it to help those who needed it.

It's really quite simple why: It's shiny and pretty whereas the One Ring is plain (though powerful). I've already told my man I want Nenya instead of a standard engagement ring Wink

On another note, I do own a replica of Anduril, sadly it does not glow red in the setting sun or shine blue in the moonlight (bummer Unsure )

And I'll admit as well, I do have my sights set on a copy of the One Ring with sterling silver elvish writing (remember I said I like pretty)
