Hobbit Collectables Can't Post

Anyone besides me feel that most of the Hobbit movie collectables are over priced? Also the action figures are not of the same caliber as the Lord of the Rings figures were. Generally I am disapointed.

I can't really say [In reply to] Can't Post

as I have not seen them to see if they are the same quality. I have a majority of the LOTR ones including the Witch King and Gandalf on Shadowfax which are great quality. Because of personal circumstance and nearing retirement in a few years I just don't have the funds this time to buy them. Weta is producing them I guess instead of Sideshow. They don't seem as outlandishly priced though. The LOTR ones were very expensive back in the day.

Can't say I agree [In reply to] Can't Post

No, not at all. The market is where it so the prices are what they are. Weta is doing a fantastic job with their line of statues for The Hobbit and I can't wait to see them start The Lord of the Rings back up. I think the figures The Bridge Direct are doing look great as well.

I think they're great [In reply to] Can't Post

The Bridge Direct figures, anyway. I only have Bilbo 6" (someone gave it to me as a gift), seeing as how nowhere near me got any of The Hobbit figures in. But from the Bilbo figure alone, it has great detail, and a good resemblance to Freeman. From pictures of the 3.75" line, the sculpts are pretty damn good, seeing as how small they are and how you can't get every little detail into such a tiny figure.

The WETA statues have also looked great, but too pricey for me to snatch right now.

I can only speak for The Bridge Direct stuff [In reply to] Can't Post

Which I think are pretty good quality for the scale and which are also reasonably priced.
