Three Trolls in 6 [In reply to] Can't Post

#1
A stooped trio stared into a kettle
Wiped clean thanks to many licks and spittle
"It's empty," observed one ton
"So's yer 'ead" said Bert Sr.'s son
A grocery list indeed they must settle....

#2
Scabby carrion and pickled summer moss
Fungal goo drops, very pure, plus vermin dross
From rabid jaws, fresh squeezed slaver
For a blood sauce, marrow of cadaver
And gray mouse tails so they can thoroughly floss.

#3
"Me apron's on, Tom, get you to market"
"Kindlin's piled, Bill, grab flint and spark it"
"'Where's me purse?" cried simple Tom
Upon his face, Bert slaps a palm,
"T'were written out!" and clouts his slow target.

#4
By and by, Bill stood up from la latrine
"Did yer wash yer hands? Are they squeaky clean?"
"Did I wha'?" asked wafty Bill
"Good lad! Yer can have yer fill."
You see Bert was not all uncouth and mean.

#5
A fetid soup sat reeking before them
"Time fer grace," Bert said, discharging some phlegm
"Give us gold, give us grog,
"Give us grub and a mad dog " --
"Now fall in, lads, let us swill to the brim."

#6
With bellies bulbous, three trolls digested.
Their pastime was now closely contested.
"Oi'd like a tale!", "'Oi'd like a smoke!!"
Tom piped, " 'ow 'bout karaoke?!!"
An all-out brawl proved what answer bested.

Gandalf After Zirakzigil [In reply to] Can't Post

Still smoking, Gandalf heard the advice,
as he sat with hair singed beyond price.
"I will go back with sore feet
'til my task is complete,
But could somebody bring me some ice?"

These are great!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Good job, inventive lyrics!

Though you had to remind me the purse was absent...Unsure

The Talking Purse is Awesome, deal with it.

But he isn't quite as aweome as Cirdan.

Gimli's Ode [In reply to] Can't Post

Unearthly is Lothlorien's gold leaf
Like ingots spell-cast into a silk sheaf
Elfin auroras may beguile
Yet fade conjuring a queen's smile
Her coiled lock keeps my heart in sweet grief.

*Tig* Grey Elf! [In reply to] Can't Post

Balin's Road

A shadow Balin's great heart long had;
Durin's house touched by losses so sad.
Moria's map showed,
how by dark and curved road -
could be fled memory of a raven-haired lad.

Bombur Speaks [In reply to] Can't Post

A dwarf of my kind nature and taste
Needs must spare fine foodstuff from waste
Whatever dish, whoever's bib
I will rescue every nib
Twelve other mouths - I'd better make haste!

My ginger beard once went missing mid-dine
Not to worry -- it grew back stout and fine
Conversation at dinner
Only makes people thinner
Though tis rumored I swallow my own lines.

Denethor, Crafting Fate [In reply to] Can't Post

From the mouth of the Steward flows forlorn chill
of a darkened mind and venomed heart.
Clutching, grasping: arcane fate to fulfill -
the son of his image, he bends to his will.
Forth Boromir rides. Forever depart.

Dedicated to the Academy [In reply to] Can't Post

Captured live was Smeagol by A. Serkisss
Whose genius channeled all our quirksss
No awards? There's no riddle
In the dark, his peers twiddled
!Gollum! We weeps for his dismissed worksss.

Yes, Preciousss, it injures and it irks usss
We rights wrongs with our best nasty cursesss
Our dark pox will terrify
When they feels Sauron's Stink-Eye
Melt their statues for being such jerksss.

Riddle no. 4 for More [In reply to] Can't Post

Wisps of his Old Toby pipe transform smoke to fire,
Twinkling sparks burst and vanish over a blacked pyre,
Twisted runes lie in inky mist . . . .
Darkling visions have come to nest
Beneath the tall blue hat of Middle Earth's squire.

Riddle no. 4 Redux (LOTR variation) [In reply to] Can't Post

Apparitions dwell in his pipe of halfling leaf
Wraiths of disappearing rings his smokey motif
Wisp-ers of shadow fill his lungs
Omens circle a hobbit young
A smith's black bellows swath his head with stark grief.
