I don't see the sadness in this for us so much

After all, we have not one but two more Hobbit movies in which we can relish Martin Freeman's Bilbo. Plus Sherlock, if we're a fan of that (me! *jumping up and down*). Plus other performances. Hopefully, as his star rises, so should more plum roles. The sadness is really for MF and PJ and company who've worked so long and so hard together. Unfortunately, this does not include any of us. Our sadness, I think, comes from the knowledge that the making of these movies is now winding down. Any farewell to Middle Earth is a wistful occasion. But remember what we're left with -- hours upon hours there to enjoy for years to come. So cheer up, nostalgic Tornadoes. All things considered, I think we're pretty damn lucky!
