Glamdring [In reply to] Can't Post

If it can kill a Balrog and survive the tumult of that battle when the mountain itself was shaken, it's got to be a great blade. Plus it was Turgon's, and I think he's cool.

I chose Orcrist [In reply to] Can't Post

as the others are too long for me. Plus I already have it. Convenient.

Nice avatar, BTW! Smile

My weapon of choice is always a sharp wit. [In reply to] Can't Post

That would be from Gandalf. I think.

Strider's hand-and-a-half 'Ranger' sword [In reply to] Can't Post

I've got a soft spot for the Rangers.

Well I have some skill at conkers, if you must know, but I fail to see why that's relevant...:) [In reply to] Can't Post

I'd take Glamdring simply because I love its design and as a bonus it's also wielded by my favourite character. Plus I'd feel pretty safe wielding a sword which is more than capable of slaying fallen Maiar.

I choose a Bow of the Galadhrim! [In reply to] Can't Post

Or maybe even Beleg Cuthalion's bow! I'd take a sword too, but that wasn't in the options to have two weapons.Unimpressed

"Other" : A Girl Needs a Knife [In reply to] Can't Post

...at least according to Neil Gaiman and the Flash Girls

"I bought myself a new knife
It's steel and warm and it glints like the start of the sun
I bought myself a new knife
I hold it and stare at the line of my knife and I think about things that it's done
A girl needs a knife ...
And I've got mine."

If you would have offered Legolas' long knives, I would have chosen them.

I like a good bow, though.

I would choose... [In reply to] Can't Post

Strider's hand and a half sword or Anduril because I have a major infatuation with Aragorn and who wouldn't want to control the Army of the Dead?
