Brighter Version of Smaug Scene from Trailer via Gif's Can't Post

I found that and just have to post this:

I think there you can see so fantastic, how much facial expressions Smaug has, even in that short scene. The more I look at it, the more I love it.
I really think Smaug will be outstanding, from Design and facial expressions (and voice) ;)

I'm not sure why people said the CGI on Smaug looked bad in the trailer. I thought it looked fantastic! I think the angle of Smaug turning to face Bilbo looks a little weird but that's only because it's not really in context.

And these well-lit gifs really show a lot of the detail. That last gif you can see how Smaug's right nostril collapses when he smiles. Crazy.

I'm computer illiterate. I learned to type on a manual typewriter. I can't figure out how to open that link. It keeps saying not found. Can somebody make it clickable.

Like you. somewhat clueless [In reply to] Can't Post

I don't know how to make the link clickable either. If you know how to highlight things with a mouse, you could highlight the entire thing, type "control and C" together to copy, then click on the spot in your browser where you can see the http:\\stuff, and type "control and V" together to paste. This is how I got the page to open.

I too have memories of getting my fingers stuck betwee the keys of a manual typwriter. And oh the joys of typing term papers on the electric typewriters at my college library ($.25 per half-hour of use - needed to get a lot of change together for those...)

If you're using Google Chrome, you can double click and highlight the text [In reply to] Can't Post

Right click, and press "Go to: ......".

Failing that, here is a clickable link click.

Thanks! [In reply to] Can't Post

I really had concerns about Smaug when I watched the trailer but to see those GIF's frame by frame and so much brighter really allows you to analyse him more closely. It's almost like a sinister grin!

Such is the nature of evil, in time, all foul things come forth.

Though it is inconsistent with the eye at the end of AUJ [In reply to] Can't Post

I think I'm really starting to like the look of Smaug now that I see him in a brighter light. Tongue

To make a link clickable is quite easy [In reply to] Can't Post

You juste have to type "[u.r.l]" (but without the points) right before the adress and "" right after

for exemple "[u.r.l]http://www.theonering.net/" will become "http://www.theonering.net/" without the points

I know the point thing i just used to explain is confusing but I didn't know how to show it, without the point it immeditaly becomes clickable so you couldn't have seen the methode. You don't have to put any point when you do it for real

His personality [In reply to] Can't Post

His personality comes across a lot more in these brightened GIFs. I hope we get to see him rolling around in all his gold, to show Bilbo his 'armour'. Really looking forward to him.

Not bad, considering the reputation Smaug has to live up to! [In reply to] Can't Post

Let's face it, Smaug has to be no less than the greatest CGI creature ever created. This will be WETA's aim, without a doubt. Gollum (AUJ version) easily holds that spot, right now.

I was fouled by the blue light... [In reply to] Can't Post

Thank you for bringing this up again... I watched AUJ a lot of times and I always thought, SMAUG is blue!
Meaning, the trick with the blue light really worked on me.

I was slightly irritated but I thought it looked awesome and coool.
