Thrain I, who was an ancestor of the Thrain we see in the AUJ prologue. Kingly dynasties do like to recycle names.

Thrain I founded Erebor when he was driven out of Moria and thus was the first King Under the Mountain. He had a son, Thorin I. However, our pair with those names, Thrain II and Thorin II (Oakenshield) are 6 generations later. The Thrain mentioned on the map is the ancestral Thrain, which is why it says he was king "of old".
