Why should we wait for The Hobbit and sequel? Petition to postpone Tintin! Can't Post

Some fans have indicated that they can wait longer until PJ directs the two Hobbit movies - but there are many fans who are running out of time and would dearly love to see these films directed by PJ before they die.

I think the question should be asked: why can't we postpone Tintin? Particularly if studios understand that Tintin's success may suffer as an unintended consequence - since it is a movie which will make the legions of LOTR fans wait longer than necessary for The Hobbit and may cop a backlash at the box office.

We should start a petition to postpone Tintin so that PJ can start on The Hobbit. We need these Hobbit movies sooner, not later. Does anyone agree? If so, let me know your thoughts on the best way to proceed with this.

By the way, Peter, Fran and Phillipa, if you are reading this - please ignore any Tolkien purist criticism of your cinematic adaptation for LOTR - you made Middle Earth come alive on screen in a way that nobody else could, and these movies are the only ones I watch repeatedly. THANK YOU!
