I agree with you whole heartedly and this topic I chose to steer clear of ...because it seems people are trying to convince those who do not like Azog (his design or inclusion) that it actually is a great addition and design and they SHOULD LIKE HIM TOO! It is like beating a dead horse...I suggest let it be because there are those who LIKE Azog and those who don't ...nothing else or inbetween! If you enjoyed him ...let it be..say you did and let's get set for ol'Bolg who I think as you DeadRabbits will be a cool character ..as cool if not more so than Azog!

All the plot elements involving Azog are hokey and just don't work. The writing around his character is as bad as the CGI.

Sure, they need some recognizable "hero orcs", but they just didn't do a good job with this one.
