Ha! Jed Brophy on Dwarf hair Can't Post

Look at this bit written by Jed Brophy, in the section on Ori, Dori, and Nori in The Hobbit Chronicles: Creatures and Characters:

"One thing we haven't explicitly defined in these films is, who does the hair? Is it Ori? Is Ori the hairdresser? Maybe Dori's the hairdresser? We haven't yet seen the guys all sitting around a campfire pimping themselves up. That might be one scene I'd love to have seen -- the Dwarves all doing their hair and plaiting their beards. That might have been interesting to see, but the movies are so full there was never really a space to put it in there."

You and us too, Jed! Cool Heart

This would be the scene I'd most be looking forward to, right after the Carrock Galen Bathing Scene (c'mon, PJ, it's canon!!!), of course.

That would be choice! [In reply to] Can't Post

I can just see a Middle-earth TV program in the making here: the dwarves doing Extreme Makeovers on elves - plaiting their hair, adding silver clips and hair (and beard) extensions. Step right up, Thranduil! heh heh Getting back on track....I don't think Nori would be the hairdresser. I mean, do you remember him right after they escaped from Goblin Town? Talk about a bad hair day! I can see Dori, the fussy one, taking on that role though. Except he wouldn't do the Royal Family....Durin's heirs wouldn't stand for it (Hands off Durin's heirs' hairs! - Sorry, that begged saying.)

Indeed SPJ *BATHING SCENE* is Canon. Just saying. [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks Ro, I actually don't have this book yet (weird, right?) I think I must make a sally to the local bookstore and remedy that (just to hear sighs from Aggrieved Spouse.) It sounds like a lovely thing to have about the house. Or contains PICTURES of lovely things to have about the house anyway WinkHeart Thank for the heads-up!

So cool to read about Jed considering how much work he has done within the LOTR universe!

Manwe, when asked a simple "Yes" or "No" question, contemplated, and responded "the middle one."
