PJ's Star Wars VII script Can't Post

At 4:51 In Pete's latest video he is asked a question about Mirkwood. And as he pulls out the concept art you can see a Star Wars VII script fall out, which he quickly puts back in again.

Is this an April Fools gag by Jackson? Tongue

Good spot! [In reply to] Can't Post

I would never have caught that. Even pausing it I can't see it - only your screen capture.

I'd say this is deliberate. They must have done a rehearsal before the live event. Something to do with Star Wars isn't going to be randomly placed on the art work that has probably been sat there for 5 minutes.

what do your elf eyes see [In reply to] Can't Post

Even after knowing it was there I still couldn't see it. Frown

April fools! [In reply to] Can't Post

Just watched the live event, and this new video is completely different! The mug was on the desk, it wasn't on the shelf; and there is no "script shot" in the live event.

PJ is re-shot the video with these april fools in!

Sigh. All these Silmarillion April Fool's jokes [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, they're obvious jokes but it's still a bit frustrating, knowing that I'll probably never see our beloved Noldor, Sindar, and Ainur on the big screen. Cruel world. :P I guess Thranduil will have to do.

Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh can't write, and Galadriel is not the most powerful being in all of Middle-earth. She is inferior to Sauron, Saruman, and Gandalf.

Peter understands fandom too too well, I'd say, [In reply to] Can't Post

and does not underestimate some of its members abilities. I'm so glad he won't be disappointed, AshNazg and DjU, thanks to you. Incredible catches.
Elf eyes, indeedWink

NB: Things must be on schedule if he can take time out for practical jokes.

Haha [In reply to] Can't Post

Such a joker.
I wouldn't mind PJ on Star Wars VIII...or del Toro for that matter.

I can't believe they made all that effort to re-film some of it [In reply to] Can't Post

Just to include these April fool tidbits. Hilarious. Brilliant PJ.

They must've known we'd pick it apart.

When I saw it being reposted... [In reply to] Can't Post

.... I initially thought it could be an April fools but the first few seconds looked just like the live event so I switched it off. Silly me, even if I had I probably wouldn't have noticed those gags. Brilliantly done, it's good that they didn't make it really obvious and relied on the hardcore Ringers probably watching on freeze-frame to spot the joke.
