We can probably assume... [In reply to] Can't Post

... that it will follow LotR patterns. Which means a release is most likely during the direct lead-up to "The Desolation of Smaug" - late November or early December.

I took that to mean the end of the year. [In reply to] Can't Post

It was written in a US publication, and generally "the holidays" refers to the Thanksgiving and Christmas periods beginning in late November.

Calendar leaked by WB [In reply to] Can't Post

The calendar leaked by WB some time ago had the EE in Q4 2013. So expect late Oct.-Nov.

This is why the people who wait for the EE impress me. [In reply to] Can't Post

I couldn't hold out that long. Thus, I will end up with many versions of AUJ due to my inability to delay gratification.

Hah, I'm not waiting! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'll be getting by Blu-ray/DVD combo on March 19th, then will double dip once the EE is released. I'm not a patient person, haha.

Just wait until they put out the super-deluxe edition. [In reply to] Can't Post

I completely fell for it with LOTR because I wanted those Argonath bookends. Which look really great on my bookcase, btw (yes, I opened the box). They hold my many editions of various Tokien works. So if they market a deluxe Hobbit set with a fuzzy, plush Beorn, it will be mine.
