EE Questions Can't Post

I know it's a while yet before we will get the AUJ EE but I have been wondering about what will be included.

The LOTR EE's had commentary with director, cast , VFZ and I'm wondering if we will see that with these EE's. The reason I say that is in at least one of the recent interviews done with Freeman last week (I forget which one) he was asked whether he had done any commentary or extra stuff for the EE's and he basically said no, just the stuff that was shot for the Vblogs pretty much.

So I guess my question is, when do they do they usually record the commentary? I really hope we see cast commentary and I think it will be a shame if we don't get that with the EE's. I just didn't know the logistics of when that stuff is done. Hopefully even if Freeman doesn' tdo it maybe some of the others will. As I said I think it would be a shame if we don't get that because I really enjoyed it so much with the LOTR DVD's. I've been pretty honest that I haven't been overly thrilled with WB's marketing. If the cast commentary is not included it would make me wonder if, overall, they are shortchanging the EE's and the content. I'm not saying they are but I am wondering about it.

I really hope so as well [In reply to] Can't Post

In fact, I think I'd be more disappointed to not get all of those special features than I would to not get an extended edition (can't believe I'm saying that).
But I've enjoyed watching those documentaries and commentary so much. They are what inspired the career I now have, and I've lost count of how many times I've watched them.
They are my comfort movies.

im sure... [In reply to] Can't Post

They have plenty time yet to put together a few commentary tracks.I'm sure they'll pretty much stay with the same format as the LOTR EE give or take a tweak or two.the thing that puzzled me was viggo never featured on the commentary for LOTR,I wonder why that was?would have been interesting to hear his thoughts as he watched it.

Arrow....black arrow,I have saved you to the last.you have never failed me and always I have recovered you.I had you from my father and he from old.if ever you came from the forges of the true king under the mountain,go now and speed well

Some don't care for doing it I don't think [In reply to] Can't Post

I know in Freeman's case it's just not his deal. He really doesn't enjoy that stuff (which he as much said in the interview) so it could be a personal thing. I'm not sure with Viggo. Some of this stuff is part of their contract and some isn't so hard to say. I certainly hope they follow the same format though. I was also disappointed Viggo wasn't on the commentary and wish he had been. I'm glad though we got the rest of the cast anyway.
