I would like to have both. [In reply to] Can't Post

I think we have had a lot of brilliant character-development scenes in the film, and would certainly like to see more, but yes, we are all different and have different preferences. Wink

Agreed on that :-) // [In reply to] Can't Post

There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall and the bells in the steeple, too.
And up in the nursery an absurd little bird is popping out to say coo-coo (coo-coo, coo-coo).

I wonder if a lot of what's going to the EE is because we have more Thorin in the TC. [In reply to] Can't Post

Not that I'm complaining--I love me some extra Thorin/Fili/Kili (see avatar), but I do think they got some extra screen time at the expense of some other story lines and character moments. I did miss Gandalf in the tomb and Bilbo in Rivendell, the latter would have helped his declaration to Bofur of returning there make more sense.

…that the explanation for the Morgul blade will be in the EE. I don't really want pleasant little interludes, e.g. involving the Shire, but something meaty/dangerous that advances the story – and more of Thorin, please. Tongue

I'm not too sure about that... [In reply to] Can't Post

It's supposed to occur right after Rivendell, and serves as a reason as to why Gandalf was late to join the group in Goblin Town. To simply move it to DoS would cause all sorts of geographical errors, unless they use it as a flashback. I think they could just stick it in the EE for AUJ, in it's proper chronology. But, we'll just have to wait and see.

Flashback [In reply to] Can't Post

I think it could work as a flashback. Perhaps occuring in the course of a scene in which Gandalf reports his findings back to the others in the White Council.

I suppose... [In reply to] Can't Post

It could work as a flashback. I'd rather see it in its proper chronological spot, because chances are we'll be already be seeing a flashback involving Thrain in DoS. Plus, we'll already have one dank, ghostly evil place in DoS (Dol Guldur).
