It may be the same as others suggested here or something you've already tried. I'm just going to copy and paste it on the off hand that it is different and will work.

You log in with your google account and it will show you all calendars
available in your google account, yours and the shared ones. You just
uncheck those you don't want to sync with your iPhone and be happy
forever with alerts for only your schedule.
Disable specific calendar on your iPhone:
You go to the main screen of the Calendar application (not Settings)
and click the top left button named "Calendars". This will show you
all calendars and you can select all those you want to show in your
calendar or not.
Adjust alert settings in Google Calendar:
The iPhone converts "Email reminders" into thos annoying pop up
reminders on the phone. Visit http://m.google.com to configure sync settings
to have your phone include syncing with this calendar
1. Log into your calendar, either on google apps, or http://calendar.google.com
2. On the left, notice the section "Other Calendars". These are the
calendars that can optionally be shown on the iphone, and are causing
the unwanted notifications.
3. Click on the arrow next to the calendar you want to change, and
click 'notifications' in the drop-down menu.
4. On this preferences screen, clear all notifications in the 'event
reminders' section.
5. Save Changes.
