looking forward too [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm looking forward to the new stuff in the next two movies as well.i have to say I think that his music for the whole middle earth saga has got to be the best movie score ever because its not just great music written for a film,it FITS completely, its so organic in a way that no other movie score has managed to achieve.I love the star wars scores,pirates,gladiator....there are some truly fantastic scores but Howard shore has managed to nail it totally.every theme fits perfectly and you can FEEL the history and depth in what he's written.it truly is a perfect match and never feels like there is just some music playing in the background, its completely part of the landscape...a soundscape if you will! Smile

Arrow....black arrow,I have saved you to the last.you have never failed me and always I have recovered you.I had you from my father and he from old.if ever you came from the forges of the true king under the mountain,go now and speed well

I agree with you [In reply to] Can't Post

Look, LOTR score is my ALL-TIME favorite score (used to be Empire Strikes Back). However, I was a little disappointed in AUJ. It's good and certainly fits Middle-earth but LOTR was a masterpiece. This is not. I'm fine with the some of the old themes being in there, that's what I wanted but I was hoping for more memorable themes and they just aren't there except for the Misty Mountain theme which is wonderful. Neil Finn ruins his song with that ya-ya, ya-ya garbage. Sorry, that's just how i see it. Looking forward to the next 2 though. I really hope I can love them as much as LOTR.
