Rivendell [In reply to] Can't Post

I think it took me a couple times to noticice... hey, are they burning furniture?????

I think Bofur is sort of a Magical Child (archetypically speaking), and a Gentle Trickster (think Raven, in North American myth... helps the creation come into being, plays jokes on those who need it, not a bit like the darker Loki). He's old enough to have experience lines (and laugh lines) in his face, but has the sense of wonder (stone giants!!!) of a kid... has a very large inner 12 year old. And it all seems to come from some good hearted place. Stuff so many of us lose as we get older.

Go outside and play...

What really made me laugh at the Bombur scene was Bofur's mishievous enthusiasm. AinurOlorin Send a private message to AinurOlorin Jan 27 2013, 8:56am
