and I loved your thoughts. I've not a lot more to add as I'm not a musical sort by nature, but I had been hoping for a more developed version of the strings section of The Edge of the Wild that starts at 1:20 in the next films. I had it in my mind that it was going to be linked to Beorn and his wild and mysterious nature, and his transformation, for some reason. I could see that section of the track accompanying him transforming at night, surrounded by a lot of spinning leaves. Or chaotic weather of some sort! But anyway, yes it does make sense for that track to be missing from the part of this film when they're leaving Rivendell. I think it will be a shame though if this is all we hear of it.
