What extent do you think Beorn will play in the movie adaptation? I always thought that Robbie Coltrane ... would be a perfect choice for the character. That would be stupid. They might as well have Ian McKellan come back and play Gandalf. Which are you opposed to: a significant place for Beorn in The Hobbit? Or Coltrane in the part? And why? And what does that have to do with having McKellan return? (Or was that a separate comment?)
Robbie Coltrane ("Hagrid" from the Harry Potter series) Nice unnecessary Harry Potter reference also. Would you have preferred that BWF had identified Coltrane for, say, his work on the series Cracker? Or maybe his appearances in two James Bond films? Does his brief appearance as "Falstaff" in Branagh's Henry V suggest that he ought to have appeared in a film of Henry IV or The Merry Wives of Windsor? Checking IMDb, I'm surprised to learn he was in Krull, which I saw long before I'd ever heard of Coltrane.
