First complete image of Smaug? Can't Post

Well, there's not too much to tell. Look's like a new teaser is showing off Smaug! Might be fake tough.

It doesn't quite seem to match the cameo at the end of the AUJ... [In reply to] Can't Post

There was no ridge/horn that would poke out of the gold in that final scene of the first film, like the one this dragon has on his forehead. I also have a hard time believing that after all the trouble to keep Smaug as a hidden surprise he would just be slapped on a poster a year before the second film's release. My guess is that this is an elaborate fake.

EDIT: I Google searched "There's a storm brewing" like the poster suggested, and it took me to a fansite: http://blogofthehobbit.blogspot.se/...s-storm-brewing.html
The fansite pretty straightforwardly states that it's almost certainly a simple fan creation.

No, it's not official [In reply to] Can't Post

It was posted here a week or so a go.

And it's slightly misleading for TORn to have posted it on their facebook page. Evil

Nope, it's fake. [In reply to] Can't Post

I found that poster online a couple of weeks ago, and after extensive research and after asking several people, I'm sure that poster is fake.

First of all, I'm quite certain that PJ & Co. don't want to show Smaug in his entirety to anyone just yet.

Second, there's no sort of licensing information, or even a title for the movie.

That can't be the Lonely Mountain. If anything, that looks more like Mount Doom.

There are other reasons too, but I'm pretty sure the picture is fake. However, it was pretty well done! The imagery is impressive. =)

I would say that it is not Smaug either [In reply to] Can't Post
