Raimi speaks... not all that interesting Can't Post

Quoted from here.

(Laughs) Sure. As long as weíre addressing rumors and fanboy dreams for a second, has there been any progress made with you and The Hobbit at all? Is that something youíre still interested in pursuing?

Sam: Itís not really my choice. The Hobbit has always been Peter Jacksonís picture, and I believe from what Iíve read that he is back in negotiations with New Line Cinema, and like all fans of his, Iím hoping that heíll make it. So until I hear differently, Iím going to assume thatís whatís going to happen. Now, if he ever decides not to make it, I would love to be considered for it.

I don't think he is hiding something, he keeps saying the same thing he's been saying for months, and it doesn't look like he is being approached. Is this good or bad? I don't know.

Anyway, I thought you'd like to know.

Let it be heard! We want Jackson for The Hobbit!

Yeah... [In reply to] Can't Post

To say things of this nature when there might even be a chance that he's being considered to make the film would be almost a blatant lie, and not something I think he'd do. There would always be some part of him that would want to hint at it if he was in talks at all.
Also...I''m going to take his inferences that PJ is the main consideration to do the film as a good indicator of what might be going on behind the scenes. I won't take it as "Gospel" and bust out the toasting goblets, but I think it is definitely a good sign.

Good form Raimi . . . [In reply to] Can't Post

Sure, he keeps repeating himself, but what he's saying is honest, and good. He's staying true to the fans, and Pete.

"Death is just another pathway . . . one which we all must take."

-Gandalf from "The Return of the King"
