Just to let you know, one of the negative reviews had something to say about that song - they said that it "stopped the movie dead" - I stopped caring about the review at that point.

and i noticed that comment as well. That song and scene is one of the iconic moments in the pre-release build up, and it's what made me realize the depth this film could potentially have. The reviewer (Mr. Beaks, whoever the hell that is) really seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about the whole enterprise. He over all the usual talking points about what's "wrong" with the film (slow start, 48fps, 3 long movies/1 short book, padding, too many dwarves, blah blah blah) but seen so angry about it all. Aint It Cool News is a pretty terrible site anyway, i usually just check it out every 2 weeks or so, and even that's too much.
