Teaser [In reply to] Can't Post

A teaser announcement is out.

The Japanese version, running a few seconds longer, has a very, very interesting allusion to a previous Star Trek movie at the end of the trailer.

Cumberbatch is sitting on the bridge in a Star Fleet uniform, it looks like. Gary Mitchell?

The Allusion [In reply to] Can't Post

If you watch the Japanese release, you should understand exactly who I think it is and tends to confirm the most popular guess.

"Part Terminator, Part LOTR" [In reply to] Can't Post

Nice little Star Trek article that also mentions The Lord of the Rings and the nine-minute Star Trek trailer that will be shown ahead of The Hobbit on IMAX.

Yeah, yeah, vulcan and human hands pressed to the glass; [In reply to] Can't Post

somebody near death. I want to believe that's just J.J. messing with our heads. I don't really want another Khan. He was perfect when we saw him last and I'd rather not go back. Enough already!
I'd also like a different reason for bad boy behaviour from our villain this time. We've had someone avenging his family this round.

But in the end, I am up for whatever comes (except Spock REALLY dying). The last film was perfect. High hopes for this one, too.

Star Trek Villain Revealed [In reply to] Can't Post

I was wrong. It's something of a surprise. Do your own search at your own risk.

Edit: Err, maybe. ;)
