Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart back for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Can't Post

Along with Bryan Singer as director, these three were the best things about the X-Men series, IMO, so I'm excited! July 2014 is going to be a big McKellan-fest, with TH: TABA and the next X-Men being released.

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

Really looking forward to this, [In reply to] Can't Post

I had personally hoped that X-Men First Class would take the opportunity to break off into its own continuity, but given the subject matter of this one, my hopes might not be gone. Plus I dig the enormity of this series. Like my brother, I'm happy that it isn't just a trilogy anymore, but something more.

Woo hoo, McKellan and Stewart! [In reply to] Can't Post

I enjoy the X-Men series, but I agree that Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart are best part. I love these guys; they are so talented! And I especially enjoy watching them perform live comedy, like on Saturday Night Live. The joy they take in live, comic performance is obvious and very contagious.Laugh

I am estatic to hear this. Although I liked [In reply to] Can't Post

First Class and Wolverine enormously, my favorite is the much maligned Last Stand. I was in tears at the end, and always hoped the bit after the credits (with the man in the bed who had been born with no higher brain function) would be continued.

Here's a short interview with IM re: X-Men [In reply to] Can't Post

HP: Bryan Singer announced that you're playing Magneto again. Is that something you've been wanting to do? This will be your fourth movie with Bryan Singer, did that help persuade you?

IM: What a gas! I mean, Patrick Stewart and I have been have just been playing "Waiting for Godot" throughout England and in the West End of London. So, we've stayed in touch. We can't believe it [laughs]. I thought these were Fassbender and McAvoy's parts, but -- no, no -- we're back. We'll give them a run for their money. I mean, I haven't read the script, so I don't know how much we've got to do. But, to be back in that world, and for Bryan to be doing it -- with all the success he's had in the meantime -- it's wonderful. Wonderful.

Awesome!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm so glad they're returning to do the X-Men! I was disappointed in so many places of the last film they did together,... so it would be nice to have those powerhouses back again!

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.
