My first inclination is that you're being ironic. After all, why should the Reading Room be scary? From what I can see they discuss several of the same things that we do here, but with a more concrete basis instead of having to rely on speculation. Some threads are rather heavy, while others are quite open and straightforward. And why is the message board format badly suited for the discussions in the Reading Room? What kind of format would be better?
