I've won 3D Hobbit glasses! Can't Post

I've just received an e-mail from the cinema I booked my tickets to see The Hobbit, and they said as one of the first people to book tickets (I know I was first) I've won RealD 3D The Hobbit glasses!

Sly

First time I've ever won anything!

Sorry, I just had to share!

Did you end up getting 48fps tickets? I noticed there are a few cinemas in London to screen in HFR.

Thanks Chopsta! [In reply to] Can't Post

I probably won't wear them if I'm going to be the only one. It must be a national promotion - I can't imagine it's just my local cinema.

I've been keeping an eye on that list you posted. I'm hoping it will be updated with my cinema - it's one I the biggest in the region.

I'll trade you my Katy Perry 3D glasses. [In reply to] Can't Post

:-P

I think we got them when we saw Brave. They were all they had left. More likely, they wanted to get rid of them.

http://i.ebayimg.com/...P+26QiNv!~~60_35.JPG

I kept them cause I want to be cool like Katy. Baby I'm a firework!

(to be honest, I think those Hobbit 3 glasses are really ugly. I'm not really willing to trade.)

I have been very, very lucky with Tolkien contests, drawings, etc. Not in any other part of life but with Tolkien, phenomenally lucky.

Awesome! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'd wear them if I were you (regardless of whether I was the only one in the theater to do so). I've learnt in life to follow my heart, not the crowd Wink

Either way, congrats on the win. It's always fun to win things, especially Tolkien-type things.

Thanks Loresilme :-) [In reply to] Can't Post

For my local cinema you also have to reserve your seats when buying the tickets. When they went online, all seats were available so I presume I was the first.

I went for middle seats, half way up.Laugh

Your local theater has reserved seats [In reply to] Can't Post

for regular movies? Niiice! We have nothing like that around these parts. It's wait on line until they open the doors and then every hobbit for himself :-).

Glasses [In reply to] Can't Post

It's always interesting to win something especially when usually it doesn't happen. Well, to be honest I do not really like these glasses, at least I would not have paid for it. By the shape of it they do not look confortable... But then it may just be an impression.

@Lauresilme The local theater of DanielLB must be a big one so that they have many clients and demand. In the theater nearby where I live it is possible to buy tickets some days in advance but about a month? I don't think so let alone reserved seats!

We don't usually have to reserve seats [In reply to] Can't Post

They may be anticipating a large number of customers. It's easier to control people if they are forced to choose seats.

As for the cinema, it is pretty big. It's not the only one in the town though.
