Yeah, now we know what that is! [In reply to] Can't Post

And that was super creepy with Bilbo trying to hide and Gollum creeping over the body. Even though the cave is bright as an overcast spring day Tongue

Retake? Did i miss something? [In reply to] Can't Post

Why are people comparing expressions when these are two different moments? In the TV spot we see Thorin's face when he says "i cannot guarantee his safety", in trailer 1 we do not, instead we see him uttering "nor will i be responsible for his fate".

Storybook says *spoiler* [In reply to] Can't Post

the Goblin dies in the fall into Gollum's cave, while Bilbo survives.

Thorin & Co. are captured by Goblins, Bilbo is last in the line and escapes, he's pursued by a Goblin which he fights, (as seen in the last trailer), and they both fall into the cave.

The poor dead Goblin will probably make a nice snack for...Golly?

Really, last "spoiler" from there was far as I'm aware! Tongue

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

oh my [In reply to] Can't Post

I didn't think of the cannibalistic angle. (Assuming it is cannibalism if a hobbit-like creature eats a goblin.)

Another pointless change? [In reply to] Can't Post

Probably. But I'll wait and see,

I don't have a book handy - but isn't Bilbo knocked out after falling, and wakes up?

Gollum's Cave can't be well hidden if they can easily fall into it ...

Do you think it was on location shooting.... [In reply to] Can't Post

When we see them on the mountain.Beautiful shot. IMOCool

We are more connected than ever before, more able to spread our ideas and beliefs, our anger and fears. As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.

So how/when does he find the ring??? [In reply to] Can't Post

Does this mean he finds the ring actually within Gollum's cave, or earlier???

Does sound another pointless change...I was looking forward to seeing the Dwarves taking it in turns to carry Bilbo...hope there's a chance it might still happen...

Agreed [In reply to] Can't Post

These are two different lines in the same conversion, not a retake or re-edit.

I am sure there is a reason for this change [In reply to] Can't Post

But I have difficulty accepting that it is likely to be a good reason...

Cowardly burglar [In reply to] Can't Post

They're probably going to make hay out of the fact that Bilbo abandoned his comrades and ran away from the fight. This will give Thorin more motivation to be angry with him during the scene on the other side, and will provide contrast when he does the opposite thing later in the forest.

Still not necessary a good reason, but a reason.
