Goblin/Orc Songs Can't Post

I sort of remember something being said about it, but I can't recall exactly:

Are the goblin/orc songs of the book confirmed to be in the movie as well?

It would be absolutly wonderfull to here these evil creatures 'sing': 'Clap! Snap! The black crack!' and 'fifteen birds in five firtrees' Evil

GK singing [In reply to] Can't Post

I can't find anything on that. You know where I can find this info?

Take 'singing' with a big grain of salt ofcourse :)
If done right, I think it might really work, make them even more evil

It's in the Sibley book... [In reply to] Can't Post

There's a very humorous interview with Barry Humphries where he talks about the design of the GK's throne/commode and describes how we shall hear him using it during scenes...Crazy We are also told that the Goblin King will treat us to a song. I quoted some of the interview here...

Although Humphries seems to be making a joke of it, it does seem on the level, since the article goes to say about Humphries having sung in the musical "Oliver!" (he played Mr Sowerberry the undertaker, in the original 1960 production, as well as going on to play Fagin.)

"Choosing Trust over Doubt gets me burned once in a while, but I'd rather be singed than hardened."

So long as he doesn't read us his poetry... [In reply to] Can't Post

Martin Freeman has been subjected to enough of that already.

I'm hoping for duets and choirs [In reply to] Can't Post

with the Rivendell Elves. Maybe a round or two with "Fifteen Birds" and "Tra-la-la-Lally". They could make money off another album:)

Frito groaned. "I wish I had never been born," he said.

"Do not say that, dear Frito," cried Orlon. "It was a happy minute for us all when you were born."

Humphries' interview was funny... [In reply to] Can't Post

... but I didn't put a lot of faith in what he had to report. I'm sure there was some truth mingling with the fabricated parts. His was the funniest part of the movie guide, though.

I think he was just adding humour to the the interview [In reply to] Can't Post

And that the spoilers he revealed are true.

Not much point having a movie guide with fake spoilers, is there?
