Dwarrowdelf is one of the most beautiful scores i've heard in my life. [In reply to] Can't Post

Wink Would have been good to hear a Dwarven theme like this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9hJhXsIBZU Maybe in the third one with a Dwarven army and marching Dain we'll have a score similar to it.

We are more connected than ever before, more able to spread our ideas and beliefs, our anger and fears. As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.

But The Hobbit [In reply to] Can't Post

doesn't go anywhere as "deep" as Dwarrowdelf, or Lorien, or Mount Doom. So the sound track needs to be at least a little less "deep".

A Far Dragon is the best kind...

What about some songs with Dwarven chanting in the background. [In reply to] Can't Post

Would have been better don't you think.Wink Dwarf Lords isn't as epic as i thought it would be.

We'll almost certainly get that later... [In reply to] Can't Post

There may be some in "Erebor", we've only heard brief snippets of these tracks.

It's easy to forget this is only the music for the first film...as you said earlier, we should get more Dwarven music in the second or third films, particularly for any prologues/flashbacks to bits of Dwarven history - the Battle of Azanulbizar should be tremendous - not to mention, of course, the Bo5A still to come in the third film!!

Hey.please excuse me. [In reply to] Can't Post

Your talking to someone who is only in RivendellLaugh
So does this mean the battle of Azanulbizar, is not in the first movie then?.I'm dissapointed.I think the song of the lonely mountain, is spot on with the clanging of the hammers and the chanting in the background. It's an excellent track IMO.

Hey, I've no idea - I was concurring with what you said! [In reply to] Can't Post

...but it doesn't look likely, going by the track listing, does it? Probably Bag End will have enough backstory with "Misty Mountains" and "Erebor" if they show Smaug attacking the Lonely Mountain"

Several members have suggested that DoS or TABA might open with Azanulbizar so it is looking more likely it will be in later films judging by such musical evidence as we have so far...

Down, down to Goblin-town [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm liking the Goblin-town music more the more I listen to it. Full of doom and inevitability. It is literally hellish--suggesting imps dancing in flame in the bowels of the Earth. If it has any flaw, it's that it doesn't leave them a lot of room to make the Dol Guldur orcs more musically threatening!

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

Dead links [In reply to] Can't Post

Nearly all the links in this thread have been disabled or taken down. On the one hand, I'm annoyed. On the other, I feel sorry for whoever had to spend their Friday night that way.
