     Yip [In reply to]

I'm hoping it's just the actors being given free license to muck about and not one burp will make the final cut... although that may be wishful thinking. Unsure

     Just stupid [In reply to]

Its also very telling that it is PJ that pushes things OTT, as the actors keep saying that the crazier, and more ridiculous, the more PJ liked it.

Ah well. I guess these films will just be what they will be...

Gave it a shot: [In reply to]

Bilbo: Sorry, sorry!

Dwalin: Which way, laddie? They said there'd be food.

Adam Brown: Working on the Bag End set was just pretty mind-blowing.

Dwarves: That's what Bilbo Baggins hate!

Jed Brophy: Just trying to fit 13 people in oversized suits into a really small space.

John Callen: And an awful lot of food and quite a few props.

Deb Logan (Food stylist): Hi, we're here in my portacom. I've got this station as a temporary kitchen next to B-set. We were shooting Bag End, which is pretty full-on boots in the Hobbit's lovely food.

Colin Elms (on-set dresser): We're in the pantry of Bag End and we're picking up a scene, and we're redressing the entire pantry.

Crew member (in pantry): It's quite difficult coming to work when you're on a diet.

Peter Jackson: Just a note for the dwarves; as you're coming out, this is sort of the first time you've seen this food. It's like smelling it and staring at it and you know, looking quite exited.

Stephen Hunter: I find personally eating very important. I love food.

Bilbo: You'll need a cheese knife!

Can't understand what Bofur says after :/

Martin Freeman: Dwarves are slightly viking-esque I would say, in that they like carousing and singing, burping. As we know, scientifically vikings like to burp, that's a given.

Peter Hambleton: 13 dwarves around Bilbo's table. As a result there was some very less than gracious behavior.

Jed Brophy: They are obsessive about their food.

Richard Armitage: Whenever there's an opportunity for a food fight or a drinking song the dwarves will take it.

Dwarves: Chip the forks, smash the bottles ??

Aidan Turner: We destroyed the place, it's such a shame.

Dean O'Gorman: Being paid to throw food around, and knock things over.

Stephen Hunter: I think the more chaotic it got the more Peter liked it in the end.

Jed Brophy: It seemed to me like every time there was food there was a food fight. And if you'd only seen that part of the film you would have thought it was actually called 'The Food Fight', not 'The Hobbit'.
