... that WETA will open a branch in North America? 'Cause it's downright expensive buying and having something shipped from their site in New Zealand.

Most of their items come from their US warehouse. Now, some don't but the shipping isn't that bad especially if its a small item.

UK customs can be funny buying swords from abroad. They're often a better price even after the P&P.

The Silver Snail (Toronto) carries some Weta stuff [In reply to] Can't Post

not sure if they are official dealers, but they did have a range of WETA produced busts, maquettes and a fair bit of Dr. Gordbot stuff for sale the last time I was there.

NB they moved recently from their long-time digs on Queen Street to a Young and Dundas location.
