It's a toss who's the poll master around here

Can't Post
I see quite a few from you, macfalk and a handful of others... I guess I've erected my fair share as well... but it is a genuine surprise to learn Magpie hasn't made a poll, ever. To think what we've missed over the years... (seriously)
I never do anything simply. Not that I have a disdain for simple. I have great admiration for it (haiku is my favorite type of poetry, for example). It's just that I can't do simple. Every time I think of something I want to 'poll' people on, I can't distill the possible answers down to fewer than a dozen or so and, even then, I'm setting a sort of parameter about what I want from people. What I most want from people are the things I haven't thought of or considered. If I funnel the approach down one avenue, people are most likely to follow that path rather than challenging it and striking off on one that suits them better.
This probably explains why I either feel that a poll hasn't given me any answer I can vote on or I have to chose 'other'.
It also explains why I submitted an entry into the "Show Your Hobbit Pride" competition that didn't fit into the rules at all. I didn't feel the rules allowed me to participate (because they were, imo, too limited) so I ignored them. That worked out for me, though. :-)
I've proposed two polls so far and didn't vote on them. Not that I had not the time but was rather more interested in the opinions of others and what the result would be according to them.

Since I already know how I feel about stuff and I'm looking for an answer just from other folks I may not answer. If it's something I want "to win" I'll vote.
