Did somebody say Line Party? Yes!

TORnadoes ask about it often in person at events, via email, on Twitter and Facebook: "Will there be line party events and organizations for The Hobbit movies?" The answer is a resounding YES! There will be some changes around around TORn, any minute now, or at least in just a few hours after this post. Part of the purpose is is to make things as great as possible, to get the site ready for The Hobbit onslaught but also to accommodate local gatherings around the world. Movie tickets should go on sale around November 7 and we hope to help events organize in a grass-roots fashion around the globe. Stay tuned and spread the word! Consider theater destinations, consider organizations in your community like book stores, movie clubs, people who love lines and consider lending a hand to a world wide effort to see "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," with like-minded friends. Thanks for your energy and enthusiasm and get ready!

The picture threw me off for a second there.

I almost thought the Villa had been reopened, then I realized the picture was from 11 Years ago. Something tells me people won't be lining up for tickets at Adib's Rug Gallery this year. I heard good things about that theater but I never got a chance to go there before it shut down. Unfortunately even if they did re-open the Villa I couldn't make it there now that I live in Texas. But I do have fond (and very cold) memories of the '03 line party at Jordan Commons. Maybe if a line pops up where I live I'll stop by and say hi to the local geek community, but with a wife and 3 kids at home, my line-waiting days are behind me.
There was a man. There was a lady. There was a Dragon Lord.
