Simple: He lives in a little shack in the woods. A lot more simple than a high stone tower. He knows nothing about machines and engines.

Fool: He forgets to wash. He has a tenancy to play spoons at inappropriate times.

Saurman tends to underestimate the simple and the foolish, but then so do many who call themselves wise and good.
