Outside of the returning cast, [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm quite curious about James Nesbitt as Bofur, Adam Brown as Ori and Lee Pace as Thrandul.

Not counting anyone we've seen before and movie 2 and 3 characters, [In reply to] Can't Post

I am looking forward to Martin Freeman, James Nesbitt, Graham McTavish, Mark Hadlow and Sylvester McCoy!

I just might agree with the Lieutenant of Dol Guldur ;) [In reply to] Can't Post

but to say a few words more:

I know that I will probably enjoy Martin most. He IS Bilbo, as far as I can see by now. And of course it will be great to see Gandalf again and that he'll have his own little dark adventure (I' not meaning his erotic sex scene with Galadriel, btw)

But I'm excited to see Christopher Lee, because I want to know how fit he still is and how much screen time he has (I'd say not much about 2 or 3 minutes, really.... :/ )

I'm also craving for Benedict Cumberbatch's performance, since I know how great he is as Sherlock. He'll do fine!

And since the latest trailer I think Richard Armitage will be amazing. His lines gave me chills.

But hey, there are so many more to be excited about .. Balin, Gloin, Radagast................................

I want to see what Bombur does with his big ladle [In reply to] Can't Post

That has to be an interesting weapon to wield. I am also with the Bofur crowd, he could do some serious damage with that mighty rock hammer.

I think each of the dwarves will have some special skills for us to appreciate. Some of the weapons are pretty curious to me, several have clubs or some sort of heavy-headed staff. By the time we get to the Battle of Five Armies, I think we will be well acquainted with each of their unique fighting styles.

Matthew Fox as Sauron [In reply to] Can't Post

Maybe Jack is reincarnated as the light inside of smaugs fire (which he will of course use to create the eye on top of Bara-Dur). Hence Tauriel "remembers" the Island timeline and her original death as well as Jacks. Bombur is obviously Hurley, Thorin is Sawyer, and Gandalf is Locke. They actually all crashed in middle earth.

Ahh, now I get it [In reply to] Can't Post

...should have seen The Hobbit connection all along. lol

P.S. - Just considering the dwarves, I thought of Thorin as Locke since they are both eccentric and obsessed with their destiny. Oh, and now I can just see Bombur driving the Dharma van with Merry along for the ride.
