Shelob vs Elendil Can't Post

The last child of Ungoliant vs the High King of Gondor and Arnor...who will win? (and yes, I know that Sam beat Shelob, but that was down to a combination of luck, quick-thinking and determination, as oppose to an actual contest of strength).

"Radagast is, of course, a worthy wizard, a master of shapes and changes of hue, and he has much lore of herbs and beasts, and birds are especially his friends."-Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings.

I'd go for Shelob [In reply to] Can't Post

Elendil was never renowned for his fighting (but neither was Shelob). They'd probably mortally wound each other.

Elendil [In reply to] Can't Post

As he was probably well trained in battle, as opposed to the spider which most likely only knew her instinct.

'What are we holding on to, Sam?'
'There's good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for!'

'I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!'
