Where is the ring? Can't Post

For those who enjoyed the Eye Spy posts, I have switched gears to more of a Where's Waldo set of images. Below are 7 images of the One Ring - can you determine where it is/what scene? Have fun!

1) 2) 3)

4) 5)

6) 7)

I have another round if folks like this one. Smile

I do like a game! [In reply to] Can't Post

And hopefully, I can get a couple of these right!

1) ROTK - Mount Doom, hanging on Frodo's chain.
2) ROTK - Smeagol's hand - just after strangling Deagol
3) FOTR - Caradhras
4) FOTR - Isildur picking it up and Sauron's finger crumbling away
5) FOTR - Council of Elrond
6) FOTR - In the hands of Frodo, after Gandalf throws the envelope (and Ring) into the fire.
7) ROTK - At the bottom of the Anduin

you are good at these! [In reply to] Can't Post

Nice to have some clever things to do whilst we wait in this long line for the first Hobbit film to premiere!Smile

Here's my best attempt:

1.Mt. Doom (Frodo holding it over the edge?)
2. Uh, Bilbo's jewlery box? Either that or on the stone table at the council of Elrond...
3. That looks like a photo I saw on Yahoo News of a whale or a dolphin, in other words, no clue!
4. In Isildur's hand, after he blows away Sauron
5. On the floor at Bag End -- right before it does that cool hiss and flash thing at Gandalf...
6. Right after it got fired by Gandalf!
7. Right before it got discovered by Deagol,,,

Thanks again for the fun!

These remind me [In reply to] Can't Post

of when I was little. My grandmother had GAMES magazines lying around the house and I would spend hours solving the puzzles. The idea for these threads comes from Eyeball Benders, which was one of my favorites.

Oh more! [In reply to] Can't Post

8) FOTR - On the floor of Bag End
9) ROTK - Being destroyed! Woop!
10) ROTK - In Deagol's hand
11) FOTR - On the table in Bag End
12) Tricksy - I'm not sure - ROTK - Gollum's prologue scene?
13) FOTR - Shortcut to Mushrooms scene?

As for the bonus - I haven't seen that ever! I think you've flipped it, and it's a lamp in Lorien?

Ooh, I can do this one! Guesses below... [In reply to] Can't Post

1. Isildur. Will he or won't he?
2. Smeagol. Having killed Deagol
3. Caradrhas. Cue Aragorn looking threatening
4. Whoops. Sauron dissolved...
5. Council of Elrond.
6. Frodo reading the letters of fire at Bag End. (Reminds me of the Coca Cola meme)
7. On the bed of the Anduin. Prologue?

Great fun! [In reply to] Can't Post

Let's see....

1. Frodo holding the Ring over the edge in Mt Doom
2. This is when Smeagol holds it after doing away with Deagol.
3. The Ring in the snow before Boromir picks it up.
4. Isildur holding it in his hand right after Sauron's defeat.
5. "Bring forth the Ring, Frodo" - when it is on the pedestal at the Council of Elrond.
6. When the writing appears after Gandalf has Frodo remove it from the fire.
7. "For two and a half thousand years" ... lying at the bottom of the river, waiting.... waiting.... :)

Thanks for putting these together, Delrond!

Ring-a-dong-dillo! [In reply to] Can't Post

1. At the end of the chain that Frodo was wearing. He was going to cast it into the fire, all in a snit, because that cute little Hobbit lass that danced the springle-ring with him had refused to accept it and be his girl friend. At the last minute, though, he declared, "The ring is mine!" and decided right then and there he was done with women.

2. That is right after Smeagol chokes his BFF Deagol. You can tell, because it still has some of Deagol's slobber on it that he coughed up in the process. Ew. Wow, with friends like that, who needs enemas?

3. Easy, this is when Frodo lost the ring in his pina colada. Boromir thought he was playing a game, and tried to chug the drink and then catch the ring in his teeth. (It was an old fraternity stunt from his college days.) Aragorn, however, got all up in his grill and threatened to cut Boromir, so he spit the ring back into Frodo's glass.

4. This is when the ring accidentally got dropped in Sauron's bbq pit. Isildur risked his own plate of brisket, and rushed in to grab it at the same time Sauron did. Sauron, however, was not so lucky, and you can see the ashes of his fingers there around the ring in Isildur's hand.

5. That's on the table at the Council of Elrond. Frodo had just placed it there to get everyone's opinion on whether it was too forward to give to that Hobbit lass who danced with him. Gimli, thinking Frodo was cheaping-out with a dime store bauble, tried to chop it with his ax. Boromir could tell it's quality right away and said, "It is a gift."

6. The inscription on the ring that Frodo had engraved to the Hobbit lass. It reads, "Woses are red, orc eyes are too, Mount Doom is hot and so are you!" She was not impressed and threw it into the fire. That's when the trouble started...

7. This is when the ring is at the bottom of the Anduin. Isildur dropped it when he went swimming with the orcs. They told him a bunch of girls were on the way, and to go ahead and get in, but it was all a trick because they shot him full of arrows. Stupid orcs.

And suddenly the Tornadoes saw afar off a greenlight, as it were a cloud with a living heart of flame;
and they knew that this was no vision only, but that PJ had made a new thing: The Hobbit, the Film that Is.

The bonus image was cropped right from a screencap, no flippage. Do you know what scene this is from?

1-7 answers. [In reply to] Can't Post

1) Frodo holding the ring on its chain in Sammath Naur. Contrary to popular belief, he's girl-crazy as they come.
2) Smeagol fawning over the ring after strangling his cousin Deagol on the banks of the Gladden River. I was just wishin' that I could go fishin'. What I might catch I don't know.
3) Caradhras. A dolphin or whale, or a fish with no tail? No matter 'cause I'll let him go.
4) Isildur holding it in his hand right after Sauron goes supernova.
5) "Bring forth the Ring, Frodo" - when it is on the pedestal at the Council of Elrond. Gift? How about a box of dirt instead?
6) In the hands of Frodo, after Gandalf throws the envelope (and Ring) into the fire. It's quite cool.
7) At the bottom of the Gladden River, right before Deagol grabs it. Probably shouldn't have done that.

Great guesses, everyone!

8) On the nice, shiny floor of Bag End.
9) Floating on the lava in Sammath Naur, right before melting away. Right after Gollum melted away.
10) In Deagol's soon-to-be-dead hand.
11) On the table in Bag End. "This is the One Ring."
12) FOTR Prologue: In Gollum's hand.
13) Shortcut to Mushrooms scene. Awesome, Daniel.

Bonus: A lamp in Lothlorien; Gimli is sleeping, Aragorn sharpening his sword. It's hanging nearby Gimli.

Great guesses again, everyone. Have a great weekend!
